AMS Students and CIEE
This year, 21 AMS students applied to study abroad with the Council on International Education Exchange (CIEE). Each summer, approximately 2,500 high school students from around the country participate in Global Navigator Summer Abroad Programs which take students out of their comfort zones, far away from home. Students can explore a different culture in more than 30 amazing destinations across the world through our following programs:
Language and Culture (4 weeks): Immerse yourself in the local scene while improving your fluency in Spanish, French, Mandarin Chinese, German, Italian, Japanese, or Arabic! Earn 4 college credits.
Service and Leadership (3 weeks): Work with a community on global issues such as migration of people, the environment, children’s rights, or education.
Global Discovery (3 weeks): Pursue or develop an interest in a field such as marine science, conservation, filmmaking, or global entrepreneurship.
Current 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students are eligible to apply for our need-based scholarships, which can cover between 10-100% of tuition. The next deadline to apply is February 8th!
